Community Studio will be assisting A. R. Lord Elementary School (near Hastings Park) to re-envision a corner of their school grounds as a natural play space. Currently the site is a grass & treed area directly next to the school building. The goal is to provide an outdoor, accessible learning environment for all students and the community to enjoy. The project is intended to support useability for all ages, sizes and abilities using native plantings and natural structures as the basis of physical development and creative learning.

Katzie First Nation – Pitt Lake Interpretive Site
Community Studio is assisting the Katzie First Nation to develop a vision for an off-the-grid educational and tourism site on traditional lands on the south shore of Pitt Lake. Two day-long workshops were held, the outcome of which were two concept plans, and ideas for a new longhouse. Community Studio is working on creating a booklet to document the workshop and summarize options and phasing for the site.
